An error occurred while setup was updating partition information xp - online dating history articles
I was in the middle of a scan using Adaware SE when my XP Home system froze.
I have also tried booting from the XP CD, but when I get to the stage when I have the choice of 1) Setting up XP; 2) Repairing XP; or 3) Quit setup; the following happens: - If I choose set up XP, it either freezes at this stage while "Examining 78GB Disk 0 at ID 0 on bus 0 on Fasttrak" or proceeds to the page that says "The following list shows the existing partitions & unpartitioned space: * To set up XP on the selected item, press ENTER.
* To create a partition in the unpartitioned space, press C. If I press ENTER, then the following message appears "An error occurred while Setup was updating partition information on 78GB Disk 0 at ID 0 on bus 0 on Fasttrak (MBR). To quit Setup, press F3." If I press D, it proceeds to the next screen that warns the partition is a system partition, & says press ENTER to proceed.
If I press ENTER, the next page asks me to press L.
If I press L, the following message appears "The partition you selected cannot be deleted".
I then have to press ENTER which takes me to the following screen: "A problem has been detected & windows has shut down to protect your computer.
If this is the 1st time you have seen this message then restart your computer.
If this screen appears again, follow these steps: Check to be sure you have adequate disk space.
If a driver is identified in the Stop message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates. Check with your hardware vendors for any BIOS updates.
Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing.
If you need o remove or dsable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, & then select Safe Mode(Note I have tried Safe Mode).

Any suggestions on how to proceed as I can neither start XP or use Setup?
